Retargeting & Email Marketing Master Plan

Hey there, I’ve had a lot of solid results with my retargeting & email marketing system. I figured I’d share it with you, hopefully, this helps your marketing campaigns.

Important note: When running FB & IG ads you’re collecting “impulse” buyers right away. But you’ve gotten thousands of people to view your product, engage on your ad, subscribe to your list, etc..

In the traditional internet marketing world for info products, we always expect people to subscribe, but not buy right away. So we email often + retarget.

Master Retargeting:

Create the following custom audiences for each product
(Unless the store is a niche)

  • FB Page engagement (3, 7, 14, 30, 90 Days)
  • Page views (3, 7, 14, 30, 90 Days)
  • Add to cart (3, 7, 14, 30, 90 Days)
  • Initiate checkout (3, 7, 14, 30, 90 Days)
  • 50% & 95% video views (3, 7, 14, 30, 90 Days)

I run ads to these audiences in a “Traffic” campaign.
I do a conversion campaign for this too but they both work well.

I use a different ad creative & different copy.
For example, on day 3 I will give them a 5% off coupon.
On day 7 I will give them 10%
On day 14 I will give them 15%.
I keep increasing the value the longer it’s been.

Dynamic Product Ads

If you’re not running DPA ads then you need to.
It’s very important, look up a tutorial on YouTube.

This should bring in a decent amount of sales.

Email Marketing:

Your email marketing can follow the same formula as retargeting when it comes to gradually increase the discount. Immediately give them a coupon for subscribing, but then run “weekend promos” with a large coupon but only for 2 days.

We mail out 2-4 times per week. Sometimes more.

We’re using Wheelio and/or MailMunch.
Be warned: Privy is a free opt-in app and it sells customer data and slows down your site. Also, Beeketing is known for slowing down sites as well as having malfunctions.

Email marketing is a key essential for following up.
